Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency

Craig Communications has been retained by the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency to provide community education and outreach services for the waterfront restoration project. The first task was to increase public awareness of the project. This was done through a series of promotional events, press releases, and the creation of a team of student journalists from the local high school to write and distribute a quarterly newsletter. To date, the project has received positive coverage in the local newspaper (four articles in five months) and the story has received newspaper coverage from non-local press including the Los Angeles Times. The second phase involves the creation and distribution of fact sheets at key milestone phases and planning and execution of special events.
